My students need personal whiteboards with lines. In first grade, students are still learning to form letters correctly and make full sentences. Even with virtual learning, I give a lot of informal assessments to see how my students are progressing. These kiddos have been using the same whiteboards from years ago which are faded, stained, cracked, and without lines. I feel like fresh new whiteboards with lines will be a nice pick me up to motivate and excite the students, especially this year! How will my students ever learn to write if they don't have the proper tools? In order for me to give these students the education they deserve, they need to have a personal whiteboard with lines so they are practicing the skills. They need to learn correctly every day. Especially during online instruction, my students are using their old worn-out whiteboards all day. They constantly hold up their boards to show off their work on their screen. I can't wait to see how proud my students will be when they hold up their work on a brand new whiteboard!
