A school garden allows kids to be part of something bigger than themselves and gain self-confidence to acknowledge that anything can grow with patience and determination. By having a garden in our school, the students will be able to participate in hands-on harvesting, learn about healthy foods, implement math, science, and reading in a different environment, and interact with nature. The opportunities and lessons are endless to teach my students about care-taking and problem-solving roles. These materials will help my students begin to build their first school garden. Thank you!

About my class
