Third graders need an opportunity to develop social emotional learning, work with one another to solve problems, and make sense of their learning! This table will first and foremost provide a formal spot for my students to participate in differentiated small group math lessons. Currently in my classroom, the setting changes each time we have a lesson. Students with social emotional and high academic needs work best when a strong routine and clear expectations are in place. This table will provide me with a better opportunity to monitoring each individual's progress. Efforts to encompass our school's efforts focusing on teamwork, mutual respect, and problem solving will be the focus of behavioral management during small group instruction.
