I am a 4th-grade special educator trying to encourage my students to learn to love reading. Almost all of my students are reading below grade level (first & second-grade levels). Due to this, it is often challenging to find books that are engaging for them and not babyish, yet still appropriate for them to access independently. Often I find myself spending my own money to give them access to a larger variety of books that they will enjoy. I'd like to provide my students with beginner chapter books and easier to read graphic novels so that they are reading books of the same quality as their peers.
