My 30 third grade NYC public school scholars are remotely learning from home and Chromebooks would make their remote learning experience so much better for them. Many of my scholars do not have the technology that is compatible with the work that we are doing and find it very difficult navigating what is available to them. We are using so many amazing platforms such as Kami, Google Classroom, Interactive Writers Notebooks, Jamboards, Equatio, and Wordpress to create our own digital newspaper, and so many of my scholars are held back because of the lack of technology. My scholars have the motivation, they have the drive, they are excited to learn even though they are home for safety reasons during this pandemic. I don't want the lack of technology to dampen their love of learning.
