Creating critical readers who have a chance to walk a mile in someone else's shoes is the goal of my project. Students are more likely to read when they have a quality library in their classroom that offers a diverse collection of fiction and nonfiction. In my experience with offering students both the time to read in the classroom and an abundance of current, relevant novels, students will become avid readers who learn to love turning the pages of a good novel. Students learn and grow as critical readers and thinkers when they can see the world from a different point of view.

About my class
