Art education is vital now more than ever! Since we have transitioned to Distance Learning due to the pandemic, allowing children to be creative and express themselves is necessary and key to their overall well-being. This continues to be an uncertain time in our world and I believe that art brings the much needed joy and calmness that we all need right now. Arts education is vital to student achievement! Studies have shown that when art is added to the curriculum, students not only learn better, but they thrive academically! Through the art lessons that I teach, kids can learn how to start a dialogue and become more open-minded individuals in order to embrace beauty and diversity in the world. Arts education is so important for helping students to develop focus, build self-confidence and become creative problem solvers and critical thinkers. With the requested art supplies, I want my students to be inspired to create their own works of art, make connections to the world and, ultimately, find their own voice and artistic abilities. We will need paint, canvas panels, watercolor paper and more. The goal of teaching art lessons is so that my students are able to learn about the elements of art and appreciate different artists and perspectives while, in turn, developing their own unique artistic styles. I look forward to helping my Kinder’s along their artistic journeys!
