A healthy body fosters a growing mind in the classroom. Being healthy includes physical health, social health, and mental health. As a school nurse, I cover all of these areas. Students, parents and teachers rely on me to make accurate assessments and judgement. Physical assessment tools are especially important in these trying times. Living in a low-income area during a Pandemic has proven to be difficult. These students deserve the equipment necessary to ensure that they are safe and healthy. If students feels safe and healthy, they will succeed in the classroom.
