These materials will help make a difference in my students' learning by providing them with a book to read about St. Patrick's Day and we will also read non-fiction articles. We will use the mustaches as a reading activity where they "mustache" each other a question about the text. We will use the gold coins to practice math skills (all in time for learning money). The other materials will help St. Patrick's day come alive and provide students with a physical representation of the objects we will read and research about. Our room and day will be transformed! This will be a welcomed changed for my second graders who have made the most of a CRAZY school year already! Thank you so much in advance!
