Many of my students cannot afford the basics which allow them to take a keep good notes in class as well as stay organized throughout the year. Providing notebooks, pencils and folders as well as basic classroom supplies will level the playing field so to speak and allow ALL students to start school with the foundational elements they need to go further. When students start the year organized they are much better prepared to face the challenges ahead. The classroom models and slides will be a visual anchor to help students with difficult concepts and help them see the big picture with some of the tougher biological concepts.
