As a new teacher, my goal is always to ensure that my students are given lessons that are exciting and engaging. The ideas for those kinds of lessons are not always easy to come by when you aren't entirely sure what exactly will work with them or get them to understand the material in a way that also gives them a bit of fun. Simply reading the material and giving them worksheets to figure it out has never and will never be my goal. I always strive to be better, and I feel like the best way to do that is to learn from my fellow educators about the best ways to go about teaching. Teachers Pay Teachers has been an incredible resource to use, especially while teaching through a pandemic. I will use the funds from this project to continue giving my students interesting and engaging lessons and activities that, hopefully, inspire a love of learning and a profound understanding of the various texts we explore throughout the year.
