The books I'm requesting reflect the dominant languages and cultures of our community's English Language Learners (ELLs). These include additional titles in Spanish as well as new titles for Vietnamese, Arabic, Urdu, Gujarati, and more. Acquiring these titles for our school library will promote English language acquisition for our ELLs and second language acquisition for our native English speakers. They will also promote multicultural understanding among all students in our learning community. Words are powerful, so let's empower our learners to participate joyfully and meaningfully in a global society. By funding these purchases for our school library, you will help teachers enrich their classroom lessons. You'll also give students the chance to select multilingual texts for independent reading and learning. Thank you for supporting our school library!
