E-books are great, but with all of the online learning that is going on now, I want to stress the importance of being able to read anytime and anywhere. (No excuses). I want all of my students in my Academic Literacy classes to enjoy the privilege of choosing a book as a gift to promote the idea that books are priceless and the benefits of reading are everlasting. Although reading and writing is a struggle for many of my students, when they are honest about their struggles and admit that reading and engaging in books that they choose provides a clear academic advantage, they experience progress during the year.

About my class
