Flexible seating will allow my students to show responsibility in the classroom and take control of their learning. Students will learn to make choices for themselves that will help them participate to the best of their ability in class. Many times my special education students feel anxious during class or they struggle to stay awake for the duration of the day. Flexible seating will allow students to control these things during instruction. Students will learn to identify their needs and find solutions to help their learning. Currently, I am working on providing students with strategies for managing their anxiety and tiredness in class. Flexible seating will be another great options for my students.
