As students continue to build on their math understanding throughout the grade levels, the complexity builds. Students need access to manipulatives to help them visualize what is actually happening with complex math concepts before they learn the algorithm. Students will feel more confident in their abilities if they have math manipulatives on their desks. Not only will students understand what they are doing as they learn new math concepts, but they will also have more fun! When they build a deeper understanding, they will be more prepared for the jobs available in the 21st century.

About my class
