This project will help my students increase their reading development by giving them the practice they need in decoding words. As an educator, I am continuously improving my craft. One way I do this is by staying up to date with recent research on the development of reading. Most recently, I have been implementing lessons that involve the explicit phonics instruction, as suggested by the "Science of Reading". When students learn letter sound relationships and spelling patterns, they are able to decode words with ease. This helps them to become independent and confident in their reading. These decodable readers will give my students the confidence they need in their reading and help to build their independence! My supporting this project you will be helping to foster their love for reading!
