Do you remember your first time, as a kid, you smelled the forest or listened to nature in complete silence? This is an opportunity I want to give my 6th grade students through Sly Park’s Outdoor Education Virtual Camp this Spring! Our students are ready for a break from the weekly routine of distance learning and are eager to become stewards of our environment. They are our future and guardian of our precious Earth. The Sly Park Program teaches students about our environment through experiential learning. Students come away from camp with a desire to have a positive impact on the environment. They learn life lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and adaptability that go beyond the classroom. This year, due to COVID, the camp is online/virtual. Since many families are struggling to keep jobs and homes this year, I do not feel I can ask them for money to attend the camp. That's where you come in. All donations will go straight to this amazing experience for our students to remember long after this school year is over.
