This school year has been a roller coaster of changes. My classroom has transitioned into a hybrid model for Trimester 2. I am excited to have scholars in class while also keeping those relationships with my scholars online. During the first two days I realized that there are materials that would make our classroom more engaging and successful. First off we need speakers for the scholars in person, this way they can hear the videos along with scholars that are online. We also found it difficult to have the laptop camera while I am walking around the classroom. A webcam that I can place in the front of the classroom will help those online see what is going on within the classroom and have more opportunities to engage. While walking around the classroom I found my scholars that are online have a hard time hearing, so a lapel wireless microphone would be extremely beneficial. Lastly, a few classroom supplies that I found would be helpful in the classroom are crayons, notebooks, and folders. Overall, these upgrades to our classroom will make hybrid teaching amazing!
