Most of the student that I have the pleasure of serving struggle to read. I am a Behavior Specialist and my classroom was created to help teach the students self regulation and self awareness. The students who earn time to visit my classroom have an option to pick an activity for their brain breaks. Many of the students that I serve struggle to read and this station will help! Many times throughout the year my students want me to read to them. I LOVE DOING THIS but sometimes I am having to work with another student so I have decided to create a center with these incredible social emotional books! I desire for these children to have an opportunity to read or be read to! I will create video of myself reading the books on the iPad and the students will be able to click on the video that they would like to have read to them. Having the physical book allows them to read along as well. I will also send a QR code home with them to read with their parents if desired.
