Every educator knows how difficult it is to keep students engaged and motivated during class. When my students are feeling anxious or do not have a way to release their energy during class, they disrupt their peers by walking around and constantly asking to leave the classroom. Bouncy bands provide a way for students to release their energy, stay focused, and relieve stress without disrupting their peers. A Bouncy Band is a thick tension band that attaches to the student's desk. The students can rest their feet on the band or quietly bounce their feet on it. I've used Bouncy Bands with students before and they helped improved student behavior. My students stayed in their desks for longer periods of time and focused their energy on classwork instead of disrupting their peers. I know that Bouncy Bands will help my current students in the same way so that they can be successful at completing their classwork.
