This training will equip me to be a transformative school leader of social and emotional learning, mindfulness, and yoga. Once I complete the training, I will walk away with the tools to teach entire wellness experiences for students, teachers, school staff, and parents. My goals are to use mindfulness and yoga practices to impact student learning and resiliency through daily practices before, during, or after lessons, and through stand-alone sessions. My other goal is to help reduce teacher stress, enhance emotional well-being, and reduced burnout by using our one empty classroom to offer my colleagues and staff a place to come together as a community centered on self-care. This course gives me the confidence that I will be following a social-emotional learning curriculum that is aligned to the nationally-recognized CASEL competencies.
