Students learn in a variety of ways. Some are visual, auditory, verbal, and/or hands on learners. Currently, I am unable to reach all of them because of the limited resources in my classroom. My Promethean board is old and it doesn't fully work. My projector overheats regularly, too. I can't use it for more than 10-15 minutes before having to shut it down. I wish to engage my students in meaningful ways and having a new Promethean board will allow for me to do that. I will use it to show and discuss our current events on CNN10, PowerPoints, graphic organizers, videos, music, etc. Technology is so important in our society and I would be honored to have an upgrade for my students.
