My students need headphones to go with their Chromebooks. My students love technology but we have been unable to use the Chromebooks due to every student not being able to afford headphones. One of my student's favorite things to do is listen to read aloud books. With each student not having their own set of headphones, listening to the books aloud creates a distraction for other students who may still be working on an assignment or trying to listen to their own book. I also have a few students with special needs in my classroom and the background noise of others Chromebooks really prevents them from giving me their best work. If you are able to help donate to this project you will be giving my students a better learning environment and me a chance to incorporate more technology in my classroom. There are so many amazing programs and technology projects that my classroom could utilize if we have every student having their own set of headphones. For example I could have students record themselves reading or record me teaching lessons. This would give students more hands on opportunities. Thank you for considering a donation to my project.
