In our online environment, students can feel isolated and disconnected from the learning material. Additionally, scaffolding and making the material accessible for all learners can be a challenge. Having an iPad would allow me as a teacher to virtually show students things outdoors that connect to the curriculum. Using technology, our class can make science connections with the outdoors during our live sessions. For earth science, I can show them during live sessions areas of erosion, or rock formations. In biology, I can show them how to catalog plants and animals for citizen science projects. For offline work, an iPad would help me create better videos to explain labs, make help guides, and create visual aids. There are so many possibilities!
