My students, who suffer from social emotional difficulties, will use these supplies in a weekly life lesson of cooking healthy foods. This will teach them not only skills they need in life, but how to cooperate and be safe. These activities boost their self esteem and help them to build relationships, which is a large component of our Therapeutic Learning Program. The therapeutic learning program focuses on social emotional learning and student growth. The ability to participate in weekly cooking has been a long loved reinforcer activity for these students who have difficulty not only on academics but in managing their emotional state.

About my class
