These supplies will teach students what plants need and how they grow! Using Kratky hydroponics method will allow students the opportunity to grow healthy food indoors during the winter season. This is our first time introducing this method of gardening to our students and these are the final supplies we need to get started. Learning these life long skills will give students the knowledge to live healthy lives in the future and provide alternative, economically friendly methods of farming to future generations. When the plants are established, they will have the opportunity to dig in the earth and transplant their plants into the community garden on school grounds. Grades 3-5 will experience growth from seed to harvest with the start up supplies from this project.
