Each year our 6th graders intently read Where the Red Fern Grows. This unit of study is the highlight of the year for most of them. It fosters camaraderie in our classroom and inspires some of our most reluctant readers to read more. Normally, we have one class set that is shared between different sections. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we are not able to have students share books. In order for students to enjoy reading this book this year, we will need one copy per student. In a year when so many things are changing for our students, I am hoping to still be able to give them the experience of reading a book together that they will fondly remember for years to come. Please consider helping us maintain this experience for this year's students.
