The stories and books that I have chosen will give my students and I the ability to continue to foster their love of reading and encourage them to learn about different topics. Each one of my students has a different interest in the stories they like to read. My students love reading books about the same characters and how they change and go through life. As a new teacher, my classroom library does not have as many reading levels and variety that would give my students the chance to learn and read about topics they enjoy. My classroom environment and community are created using read alouds with emphasis on my students' social emotional learning and how they get along with other students and how they react to the emotions they have. With these stories, my students will be able to relate to the characters and learn about how their emotions play a role in their daily lives.
