The corner shelf will be the home for students books, supplies and data binders. This makes students life easier because it keeps their desk organized and is one less thing they need to keep track of. The top of the corner shelf will serve as a place for students to turn in assignments, hand sanitize, and sharpen pencils. The shelf will hold their data binders that keeps track of individual student progress, classroom supplies such as math manipulatives, and books. Base Ten Blocks and Fraction Tiles are the best visual to teach third graders important math concepts such as borrowing when subtracting, multiplication, and equivalent fractions, which are key concepts taught in third grade. These manipulatives are a tool that the students can use as a resource to help them take charge of their own learning, especially when remote learning and within the actual classroom.
