Every year students are to supply their own headphones. Every year, only about six students per class bring headphones. Then, every year, those six students either loose, forget, or break their headphones. Inevitably, some students do not get headphones because there are not any available. Headphones are vital in my science, social studies and word study class. We use the Chromebooks almost everyday for virtual science projects, researching Texas history, and completing online word sorts and games. When students can focus on the content and research individualized to meet their needs, they become excited and motivated to learn. For this reason, I am requesting enough headphones to supply 20 students with headphones for individual Chromebook access.
