A high percentage of students in my classroom are diagnosed with ADHD/ADD or another learning disability. This makes focusing in the classroom especially difficult for my of my students. Movement has been found to be a powerful component of focus and problem solving and fidgets provide an outlet for small movements of the hands while we work. Fidget toys have also been shown to alleviate stress and anxiety for students. Many students are in a constant state of stress with hybrid learning models and the unknowns of the world around them. I would like to make my classroom an inclusive and safe place for all of my students in any way that I can.
