Slumberkins stories use research-based techniques to teach little ones important social-emotional skills. Especially in this pandemic time, I firmly believe the importance in educating my kindergarteners in a way that helps them to be resilient, caring, and confident children. I love to use Slumberkins to create loving routines that deepen the bond within our classroom family. Through using our Slumberkins sets, we will be able to interact and problem solve. We will use the power of positive affirmations to solidify social and emotional growth. We will practice the concepts, positive skills, and learning that are instilled in Slumberkins' books in our everyday life in and out of the classroom. I will use the situations in the books, calming techniques, calming corner, and Slumberkins' storylines when talking to my kindergarteners about their experiences. Now, more than ever, I believe it is so important for young children to discover their feelings and challenges to feel secure and to build resiliency.
