Students need writing journals, whiteboards, pencils, markers, etc in order to fully participate in daily activities. Diverse read alouds will help make a more unified classroom environment. These small resources will overall help the academic achievement of my students. We use whiteboards throughout the school day. During phonics they are constantly learning new spelling words, in math they are writing and solving problems. The whiteboards make it easier for the students to participate, but always subconsciously learn new information. I want to include more books into my lesson that are diverse so that each of my students feel like they are heard and appreciated. It is vital in my classroom that we are a family, I want to make sure that each of my students feel appreciated and loved.
