The supplies that I am requesting will be used to introduce my students to the basic properties of electronics and programming/coding. They will be used to teach the fundamentals behind circuitry and how circuits are used in all of the electronic devices we use today. By giving my students an opportunity to actually see how a basic computer function through these simple circuit boards will empower my students to be creative, problem solvers, and interested in programming. This Circuit Playground board will be the next step toward a perfect introduction to what I am trying to implement in my Computer Science class. The circuit board is packed with features that make it brilliant for the first step towards an active hands-on programming environment such as writing code for microprocessors (mini-computers that can control hardware components such as LEDs, sensors, motors, and buzzers).
