My students love hands-on learning and they are all very creative. Being a first year teacher I don't have access to the school supplies that allow them to really be creative with projects. I would love them to be able to let their creative side flow and help them see how science, social studies, math, and language arts can be shown through art and creativity. We will be creating diagrams for social studies and also drawings of how heat is transferred in science and using these supplies will help them engage in these activities better. Through using art supplies those of my students who learn with more of the creative part of their brain really have a chance to shine and really enjoy the topics being taught which in turn will allow them to retain the knowledge they have learned and further their education.
