In a world where many things feel chaotic, my high schoolers are learning what to focus on and what they may actually have influence on. I am in the process of creating ways that will 'link' my class directly to their lives (to make it applicable). The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers by Stephen Covey will help my students realize that there is a real life application to what they are learning in school. With all that is going on in today's society, many students feel like everything is out of their control. This is a good resource that will help promote positive reinforcement and direction. It will help them take personal responsibility for where they want to go in life.
