My classroom library is a place to escape into a good book! These titles have been carefully chosen to enhance the variety of genres already present in our class. We read a chapter of a different genre book each Friday and it has given me the opportunity to see which books they are drawn to. Students will be able to choose from a variety of books and find a flexible location to sit and enjoy reading. With these new books, journals and seats/lap desks, my students will be able to read and write independently in an environment created for their enjoyment. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. These books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and writing. This project will continue to enrich their experiences with the printed word.
