With these new books, my students will be able to join Calder - a young boy living on the campus of the University of Chicago - on an adventure filled with mystery, friendship, and art. My hope is to not only introduce students to Blue Balliett's amazing storytelling in this epic trilogy, but to introduce them to a world of art. Learning about Alexander Calder, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Johannes Vermeer through the thoughts, actions and action-packed adventure of Calder and his daring buddies will produce some life-long art lovers!
