Currently, my school is fully remote in an effort to curb the spread of the Coronavirus. My students have worked very hard to meet the challenges that come with working from home. One of those challenges, that I am addressing with this project, is the need to provide evidence of their understanding of the math curriculum. I have tried my best to utilize programs that will allow my students to "show their work", but the constant use of the mousepad often causes strain and wrist pain for my students. By donating to this project, you will be putting XP-Pens in the hands of students and giving them an opportunity to showcase what they have learned. XP-Pens are a device that replace the traditional mousepad. Students will be able to connect the device to their Chromebook, and use the pen and drawing tablet to visually present their handwritten notes, equations, etc. In addition, our school is a STEAM school that focuses on cross-curricular teaching. The drawing and painting functionality of the XP-Pen will also help students showcase their talents in disciplines beyond math. XP-Pens will be a game-changer for our students in the realm of virtual learning.
