As a PE teacher, I am currently teaching 540 students from the comfort of their living rooms due to Covid-19. Currently students spend much of their time learning in front of a computer. I would like to provide them with jump ropes that will get them away from the computer. I will use the jump ropes to do a jump rope for life unit. My unit will include jumping rope for enjoyment and exercise. Students will measure their heart rate before and after exercise, discuss cardio fitness, and learn to set personal fitness goals. They will also have the opportunity to learn jump rope tricks and make up routines with other students in zoom breakout rooms.
