Students will be SO happy they can finally see the pictures in the big book I am reading. Right now I put the big book I am reading on the whiteboard tray which has a ledge. Each time I want to turn the page I must lift up the book so the page does not rip. Secondly, The whiteboard is flat so I must stand to hold the book, all the while hearing, "I can't see the pictures." Pre-K students LOVE to be read to. Reading aloud is one of the best ways to help early childhood students develop fluency as readers. The pictures in the big books are great for developing oral language skills. We've had many discussions about what could be happening in the pictures. Did I mention the big book stand also has storage for big books in the back? Right now my big books are in a closet piled on top of one another so it is extremely difficult to find the specific book you are looking for. With the purchase of the big book stand, each book will finally have its own home!
