Covid 19 has attacked and affected our community like every community in the nation, but we don't plan on letting it stop learning. The goal of this project is to keep students from losing the one escape many of them have, by providing the resources to continue the learning of karate. Although we have always been short on equipment, when you are teaching live teachers can adjust. Now that school has gone virtual many students have not been able to get proactive learning, and equal opportunity to continue the learning of this great martial art. Karate is the one escape many of these kids have from hardships they encounter daily, and without it, many turn an eye on hope. We need virtual video equipment, along with resources to communicate and demonstrate effective learning in this sport. There's no doubt that if we once again create this escape by being able to teach effectively virtually, that we can get students the tools that young adolescence need to grow. Along to "piggyback" off social interactions. These karate classes build confidence, happiness, and the tools these young minds need to continuing positive character-building. The project, "Virtually Kicking Karate Past Covid 19", is a great way to provide these building blocks towards adolescent growth.
