My classroom library is small and not as diverse as I would like it to me for my large variety of students. There are not nearly as many options for them to choose from as I would like, and my selection is not as up-to-date as I would like it to be. This year, students have access to an online library, where they can read e-books, however, many students state they would be more inclined to read if they had a physical book to hold. Literacy is so important, and for many of my students, access to books is limited. Our campus library does not have a very wide selection for middle school students, by adding to my classroom library, students will have more current options to choose from.
