We have a fifteen year old reading curriculum that is not that exciting. WE would like to get novels into the hands of our students so that they can capture the joy and love of reading in a way that they can relate to as we study the author, author's style, main idea, details, writing, etc. We can do this if we have all students having a copy of the book during guided reading and instruction and not having to share or just go off of one copy, which would be the teachers. We are excited to try some new units from the Louisiana State Dept. of Education, which are novel based. We just can't afford to buy the books.

About my class
