My students are hard workers. Whenever each of them are finished with an assignment, the first thing they ask for is a piece of paper to draw on. Because of Covid restrictions within the classroom, my students need to stay seated and have lost the opportunity to play with their classmates. As a result, they have really enjoyed drawing and sketching. They make mini books which helps with writing and phonemic awareness, it also promotes empathy and compassion when they teach others how to draw. It is really amazing to watch.
