The materials in this list allow students to learn as they play. These materials can be easily modified and used across all subjects. Most of the materials are manipulatives and color based. The materials can be used for language arts, math, social-emotional, and fine/gross motor skills. For example, the suckers can promote fine motor development for children and increase their vocabulary as they describe what they are creating with them or they can also talk about the color and shape of the suckers. The teacher can promote vocabulary by describing what the child is doing and asking questions.
