A microscope will let my students see the tiniest parts of our world: microbes, small structures within larger objects, and even the molecules that are the building blocks of all life. The ability to see otherwise invisible things will enrich their lives on many levels. I want my students to be able to view how the technology of a microscope can help them see a world otherwise unknown to them. Not only do I teach 9th and 10th graders but I will have the opportunity to teach a practical science course to students on IEPs that otherwise would not be able to participate in a normal science class.
