The materials/books I have chosen were suggested to be used as part of the "Phonological Awareness: Assessment Tools and Strategies" curriculum, which helps build the most important, basic reading skills (but weren't included with the teacher's manual). The books I need tie into the critical core concepts being taught throughout the various sections of the curriculum. They will help me use this curriculum at its highest level, and help students have a greater chance of improving their most basic reading skills...which will lead to higher reading fluency, and a better understanding of what they're reading.
