Many students do not have access to a reliable scientific calculator. Having the necessary supplies to succeed in school should not be a barrier for them. My project is to give the students in my middle school math class TI-30XIIS calculators to use to overcome their daily struggle. They are many different functions on a calculator that my students do not know how to use. I teach them how to enter fractions, logarithms, and quadratics functions in class, but they need to be able to practice with the same calculator outside of class to ensure they are successful.
