The materials in my project will be instrumental in teaching my students a love of reading, as well as helping them to reach their full potential in my class! The bean bag chairs will be used to give students a comfortable, relaxing spot to read or do classwork. Students are in their desks too long each day, and often having a different spot to go to helps them focus and relieves stress. These bean bag chairs are vinyl, so they are also easy to clean and sanitize! The Scholastic Magazines are a class set with a year of subscriptions. These magazines would be so helpful to teach students about informational text with interesting topics that will keep them engaged. Not only will they help when learning about informational text and text features, they will have a multitude of other uses in the classroom and would be a great resource to have! By donating to my project, you will help students from a high poverty area have more resources to grow their learning to its fullest potential.
